This site collects as little as it can. What follows is the whole list, not a summary of it.

Reading the site

You can read every article without giving us anything. No account, no sign-in, no paywall.

We count how many times each article is read. That count does not store your IP address, sets no cookie, and cannot be tied back to anyone. It is one number per article.

If you subscribe

We keep your email address and the date you subscribed. That is all. We do not sell, rent or share the list with anyone.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without signing in. You can also email us and we will delete your record.

If you send us writing

The submission form stores what you type: your name, your email, your writing, and a photo if you attach one. We use the email to reply to you about that piece and for nothing else.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, for editors signed in to the admin panel. If you are a reader, the site itself sets nothing on your device.

Advertising

This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Those cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we cannot read them.

You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

How Google handles data is set out at policies.google.com.

What we do not do

We do not sell reader data. We do not track you across other sites for our own purposes. We do not store the full text of other publishers’ articles.
